suitable wetsuit for me

 Making of our wetsuits

Having set high standards from the beginning, we haven’t stopped improving our products and our services, especially our wetsuits which is the product of our expertise. Most importantly, our main purpose is to satisfy even the most demanding diver.

– Our wetsuits form is anatomic, embracing every part of the body, just like a second skin! All the parts of the wetsuits where there might be friction are strengthened (if needed), while at all the articulations, neck and wherever is necessary, the material has the shape that is required in order to make moving easier. These important details, as well as the measurements of the new standard sizes, have resulted statistically after five years, based on the Mediterranean type of body and with the help of a specialized patronist.

– The gluing procedure, which is the most important part of a hand- made wetsuit, is a stable procedure, with ideal environmental conditions of the specialized staff,  have tested them hard and follow the procedure step by step. All these precautions have minimized the chances of failure, which is why we guarantee for our wetsuits.
– At smooth/lined wetsuits there are special parts of strengthening material in areas like the armpits or the groin in order to avoid damage.

– At wetsuits which have extra fabric, there is no spinner at the edges so there is no chance of damage.

Choosing the right size of wetsuit, whether it is a standard size or per meter manufacture, with the correct thickness, will offer you the most comfortable and warm dive of your life, for which we guarantee!

Materials

With over 20 years of experience that Inblue has, and after many years of testing with many of
the available types of materials, we are pleased to be able to assure you that we use only the
best. Our number one priority when making a choice of materials is that they have the two most
important, required characteristics for the use of a wetsuit : heat insulation and stretching
capabilities that along with inblue’s anatomic form, offer every user a unique experience of
comfort in blue!

Verso is made by the same material with inskin. Their main difference is a combination of thicknesses on the wetsuits parts as:

Area A: front and back of the body. They are always the thickest parts of the wetsuit.
Area B: hood, sleeves, trousers. They are always the thinnest parts of the wetsuit.

The combo is super stretchy smooth – open cell with this specific characteristic: from the elbow to the wrist and from the knee to the ankle, the material is lined – open cell, also it is super stretchy! On the chest a characteristic lined surface dominates, with the chest plate made from Kevlar. This lined surfaces added to the suit’s material and substantially enforces the users protection in that spot but also the resistance of the suit to the stresses of reloading. The material used to make this suit is Jako Premium, a material of excellent resistance and stretch, with great recovery after every dive. This ecological material, with a limestone base, is made for
divers with large demands. Exactly because of its limestone base, this material is friendly to the skin.

CAMO PATTERNS

At inskin, verso & combo models you can choose among different camo patterns. All of them are result of the experience and endless tests of the inblue team members.

illussion

“illussion” camouflage:  Dark brown, light brown, nuances of red. It completely justifies its name, since it makes the diver “disappear” visually in depths more than 10 meters!

caldera

“caldera” camouflage: Dark brown, dark green, ochre, light brown. Variation, which is recommended for lime rock sea beds, as well as sea beds with many lightly colored elements.

split

“split” camouflage: Dark brown, light green, nuances of red. At different proportion from “caldera”, “split” wetsuit splits the image of the diver, as they have the visual of three opposite colored areas of dark – light color. Ideal for sea beds with intense color contradictions: sand – rock, sea weed rock, brown – white, green – brown etc.

sfyrida

“sfyrida” camouflage: Dark brown, ochre and light ochre. Imitates the colors of white grouper (sfyrida is the common name in greek language). This clever fish has a unique camouflage ability in order to avoid enemies or fraud its pray. Perfect choice for all kind of sea beds even completely sandy ones.

blue water

“blue water” camouflage: Blue, azure and white. All shades and reflections of a wave on a pelagic fish or the mirage of the sunlight  on the rocks of the shore makes this camouflage the ideal choice for blue water fishing or surface agguato.

stripes

“Stripes” camouflage: Dark brown, dark green of posidonia and ochre in stripes along the wetsuit, the same as the fish when they are stalking on their preys (groupers). Perfect for stalking at the sandy or poorly configurated sea beds.

Measuring instructions for wetsuits per meter

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

– All measurements have to be done with a measuring  tape while naked
– The parts of the body measured have to be at neutral condition
– There are two kinds of measurements
a) Circumference (light blue line in the picture)
b) Distance (light blue line with arrows at the edges)

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

– Measurement No3 is done at the back part of the body
– The edge of the shoulders is the part of the shoulder where we feet the edge of the articulation and not the outer part of the arm
– Measurement No7 defines the height of the jacket. If it’s too high or low, there will be a difficulty in buttoning the wetsuit. The correct measurement shouldn’t be higher or lower than the genital bodies
– The measurements may have a 3% divergence more or less than the quoted measurements for each size
– If the above isn’t in effect, then the right choice is to build the wetsuit per meter

Information for the use and maintainance of wetsuit

Models : inskin, verso, combo, fit, fit S are exclusively made of Japanese Heiwa neoprene.

Model : caldera S is made with Sheico material. Neoprene is an absorbent, synthetic material. One of its main characteristics is its thermal insulation, its elasticity and the wetsuit resistance. There are the qualities we want to preserve for our wetsuits in order to enjoy its advantages for as long as possible.

After each use we must immediately follow these steps without turning it inside out:

  • Deep the wetsuit in a sufficient amount of warm water, making sure all the surface is well rinsed off, with gentle moves.
  • Dry the wetsuit:
    a) hang the top part upside down and do the buttons of the “tail”, in order to hang it on a rope or any stable area. After a while, empty the water that has accumulated in the hood of the wetsuit.
    b) hand the trousers on the special hanger which has to be bought
  • As soon as the pieces of the wetsuit are dry on the outside, turn then carefully inside out and dry them well.
  • Place the top part on a hanger (preferably a hanger used for coats, jackets etc)
  • Store in a shady place (eg. closet), making sure the wetsuit cannot be damaged from other objects.

WHAT YOU MUST NOT DO

  • Don’t use any kind of oil or lubricant when trying to put on the wetsuit. Since the surface of the wetsuit is open cell on the inside, you can use a simple water and soap solution, or wear it while you are in the sea.
  • Your moves have to be gentle while putting your wetsuit on and taking it off. Do not pull the garment with force because there is a chance of damaging it. In case you have difficulty in moving while taking your wetsuit off, try realizing your body part from it and place it in the right position.
  • Do not pull the “tail” in order to take off the top part of the wetsuit.
  • Do not wash the wetsuit in a washing machine.
  • Do not keep the wetsuit in a sack, especially if there are other objects on top of it.
  • Do not leave the wetsuit wet for a long time (more than 1 -2 days). Its glued parts may be affected and damaged.
